Speed Up PC 2011 – Speed My PC (2011)
Discover How I Managed to Speed My PC
Before you can speed up your PC you need to know why its running slow, the most popular reasons for PC slowdowns are:
1. Corrupted Windows (OS)
There are endless reasons why your Windows might get corrupted and there are tons of ways it can get corrupted. One of the most vulnerable files in Windows (unfortunately in all the verions!) is the registry which holds information about many aspects of your Windows (it’s the DB that holds the OS info), when this file gets corrupted or overloaded with data your PC will start running slow, the solution to that problem is by running a registry cleaner program. You can read here our reviews about the best registry cleaner programs.
Another way your Windows can get corrupted is when all kind of files are deleted or replaced, when your Windows is activating files it shouldn’t use it will (obviously) slow down your PCs speed significantly. The only software we found that can replace corrupted files and recreated deleted files effectively is Reimage.
2. Using “Resource Eating” Programs
When you are using programs that use lots of memory and CPU they will slow down your PC (you can see those programs through the task manager, you can click the CPU/Memory tab to sort the programs). The only solution to this is increasing your RAM (nowadays RAM is very cheap and every PC lab will do it immediately).
But, if your PC is running slow even when you are not manually activating any resource “heavy” programs (in the task manager see if any single program consumes more than 20% of your CPU/Memory)Â there is a chance that these programs are running automatically and in the background when your computer starts. What you need to do is clear your startup from any program that takes too many resources. If you don’t know how to do it, ErrorFix can help you out with it and with more stuff that can speed up your PC.
3. CPU Temperature
Yeap, that is a very common problem, if your CPUs temperature is too high it will cause a dramatic slowdown on your PC. You can check your CPU temperature by running Reimage scan (the scan is free), you will see the exact temperature and if its considered normal or above normal.
If your CPU temperature is too high you’ll need to buy a stronger cooling device for your CPU. If you want to speed up PC you need cooled CPU!
4. Virus/Other Malicious Programs
The Internet is full with threats, usually these threats are not trying to slow down your PC (but rather steal your info), but it happens as a side effect. If you are not running an updated good Antivirus progams, maybe this is the first thing you should do! You can read the reviews and choose one from the 2011 Antivirus site.
5. Hardware
Well, if none of the above steps helped than most chances you have some hardware problem, maybe your PC is just too old, maybe your  memory(RAM) or CPU need a fix.
“I thought that it would be easier to speed my PC…”
Yeap, it depends on your technical knowledge and the sevirity of the problem. The main thing is that for the regular person it is very difficult to pinpoint the exact reason why the PC runs slowly. So, when you want to speed up your PC like in many other things you have several options.
The first is just calling a technician that will do all the hard work for you, there are pros anc cons as you already know to that. The other way is just to try, try fixing and checking each of the steps we recommended, and if none helped you’ll need to get professional help. One important thing is that all the programs we recommended have a refund policy, which means you can ask your money back if at the end of the day you conclude that the problem is an hardware problem.
I tried in this short article to help all those asking themselves how to “speed my pc”, as you read above, it is possible and you need to decide if you want to dig in yourself and play with settings until you’ll find the solution or use an automatic program that will do it for you or just calling a technician. Anyway don’t just say “speed my PC”, act…
